Speed Monitors for Safety Applications

New! ifm offers speed monitors specially developed for safety applications, including models suitable for standstill and overspeed applications. Both models are suitable for rotary and linear motion and can evaluate pulses received from standard PNP sensors.

The DA102S speed monitor is the ideal choice for safe standstill applications. A common application is to ensure that doors remain closed until the tool has stopped moving. When the target speed is below the switching point, 2 OSSD outputs are activated.

The DD110S and DD111S speed monitors are specially developed for safety-related overspeed monitoring and are suitable for applications such as disc conveyors and centrifuges. The DD111S is specially designed for the low rotational speeds of wind turbines. Both devices can be easily configured via a rotary switch. When the switching point is exceeded, 2 OSSD outputs are activated.
