IFM efector dualis contour vision sensor

Technical Features
efector dualis contour vision sensor provides 100% inspection testing
ifm efector’s inspection sensor, the efector dualis, can monitor a wide range of error-proofing applications, providing 100% inspection testing throughout the entire automated assembly process.
The sensor uses a small CMOS image processor, which can reliably detect and evaluate objects in fast-moving processes, and is not affected by the object’s orientation. High-performance software enables the sensor to find objects with extremely high precision and speed. The efector dualis detects and compares predefined shapes, providing up to 5 configurable outputs.

Identifying missing parts during O-ring assembly process

Description: In this application, it is necessary to identify missing parts of the O-ring. The contour vision sensor is programmed to verify that the O-ring is complete and has no missing parts, regardless of the part’s size or position.
Industry: Assembly automation
The contour vision sensor is suitable for this application because the missing parts can come from different positions and have different sizes.
Verifying the correct position of the punched hole on the steel rod

Description: This process must verify the correct punched hole position. If not detected, an incorrect press-fit or punched hole position on the steel rod will lead to a non-conforming product.
Industry: Stamping / Pressing
The contour vision sensor detects the outer edge of the steel rod and uses it as a reference point for the circular punched hole, thus providing a reliable result.
