Technical Features

The stainless steel sensing face and housing of the proximity switch can withstand damage caused by physical impact during workpiece loading in manufacturing cells.
High-temperature resistant, weld-slag resistant coating prevents weld spatter from adhering to the proximity switch.
2-wire DC proximity switch with programmable PNP or NPN output.
Flexible wiring options directly replace 3-wire PNP or 3-wire NPN proximity switches.

ifm cable connectors are specially designed and tested for metal forming applications. The cable material is high-temperature resistant, and the connecting nut has a weld-slag resistant coating.

Specially designed and tested for a longer service life

The proximity switch is struck by a 1 kg impact hammer 2 times per second. This represents the force of a larger workpiece being loaded in a manufacturing cell. ifm's proximity switch can withstand 500,000 impacts, whereas a proximity switch with a plastic sensing face fails after 32,000 impacts.
