Technical Features

PMD “Time-of-Flight” technology enables a detection range of up to 2 meters (6.5 ft), eliminating the need for a reflector for the sensor.

Excellent optical performance that is not affected by the color of the target object.

Other features include plug-and-play replacement, real-time configuration file changes, and diagnostic feedback.

Reliable background suppression prevents false triggers caused by the high reflectivity of materials such as stainless steel.

Class 1 and Class 2 lasers can be mounted on any surface and rotated to any position, allowing for a very wide range of applications.

O5D setup is simple, using PMD technology for “Time-of-Flight” measurement

The O5D series of photoelectric sensors integrates the “Time-of-Flight” measurement principle and PMD technology for reliable detection in industrial automation applications. The advantages of PMD technology include a large detection range, reliable background suppression, and a visible red light spot, which facilitates setup and achieves high excess gain. The detection range of the O5D is up to 2 meters.

The switching point can be easily set using the sensor display and the plus/minus (+/-) buttons. The visible red light spot helps to align the sensor, and the digital display can show the set distance. We can also provide models with units in inches. The switching point of the O5D can also be set via IO-Link.
