Robust Photoelectric Sensors for Harsh Environments

ifm has launched a new series of robust photoelectric sensors with stainless steel housings, specially designed for various industrial automation and hygienic environments. The O6 series photoelectric sensors can reliably detect positions in harsh environments.

These sensors are equipped with easy-to-adjust potentiometers and a visible red light source, allowing for quick and easy setup in applications. The potentiometers use a dual seal and are flush-mounted like the lens for residue-free cleaning. A transparent black cover ensures the sensor’s two LEDs are clearly visible even under bright lighting conditions. The coated lens is made of highly resistant, shatter-proof PMMA plastic.

The O6 sensor series includes diffuse reflection, diffuse reflection with background suppression, polarized retro-reflective, and through-beam models.
