Fork and Angle Type Photoelectric Sensors Use a Rugged Metal Housing for Simple Setup and Accurate Alignment

Ifm’s fork and angle type sensors are a flexible solution suitable for a wide range of packaging and material handling applications. Unlike traditional through-beam photoelectric sensors, ifm’s fork and angle type sensors use a one-piece design with a fixed distance between the emitter and receiver. This avoids time-consuming emitter and receiver alignment operations.

Due to the rugged metal housing, these sensors do not warp or deform as often as traditional plastic fork sensors. A visible red light beam covers the entire width, assisting with setup. Sensitivity can be easily adjusted via a potentiometer. Integrated mounting holes allow for easy installation without brackets.

Fork type housings are available with slot widths from 10 mm to 120 mm. Angle type sensors are available with a width range from 60 mm to 100 mm.
