Compact design for applications with limited installation space

The PA compact pressure transmitter provides an analog output and can indicate pressure. Output options include 4…20 mA and 0…10 V.

The PA pressure switch is an ideal alternative to mechanical piston pressure transmitters. It utilizes a ceramic measuring element, allowing it to reliably monitor pipe pressure and withstand certain corrosive media.

Capacitive sensing technology using ceramic-capacitive measuring elements

The most important component of capacitive sensing technology is the ceramic pressure-sensing element made of aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃).

After assembly, the ceramic pressure-sensing element resembles a capacitor plate, with a reference electrode and a measuring electrode spaced 10 µm apart by a diaphragm. The capacitance is inversely proportional to the distance between the two electrodes. When pressure is applied to the measuring element, the distance decreases slightly, causing the capacitance to change proportionally. The signal is then processed by a microcontroller on a flexible circuit board.
