Calorimetric flow sensor with digital display, suitable for liquids and gases

New! The all-new SA series flow sensor is specially designed for detecting and measuring the flow and temperature of oil, water, ethylene glycol, and air in large pipes with diameters up to DN400.

These volumetric flow sensors use the calorimetric principle. The sensor tip includes 2 RTD elements and a heating source. When power is applied, the heating source at the sensor tip heats up. The RTD then transfers the heat from the sensor tip to the physical properties of the flowing substance to determine the flow rate. This temperature principle enables reliable detection of the flow of almost any liquid or gas.

Quick setup

Use the simple button menu to program the sensor to meet the setpoint requirements of the application. Switch, frequency, or analog outputs are available. It is designed with an integrated digital display that can set the value to green or red to indicate whether the process value is within range or has exceeded the limit. Parameters can also be set via ifm’s LineRecorder software or IO-Link.
