Benefits Introduce In Detail
Compact infrared temperature sensor for detecting objects with temperatures up to 2500 °C
Many industries involve the detection of objects whose temperature is too high for standard position sensors, for example, in the manufacturing of asphalt, steel, glass, or ceramic products. ifm’s TW series of non-contact infrared temperature switches is specifically designed for detecting objects with temperatures ranging from 0 to 2500 °C.
TW temperature sensors solve these applications by detecting the infrared radiation emitted by an object and converting it into an output signal. The TW2 sensor can provide a precise temperature measurement of the target object.
High precision in a robust housing
ifm’s TW series temperature sensors feature a compact and robust housing. The integrated scratch-resistant sapphire lens has an anti-reflective coating, enabling high reliability in extremely harsh environments by being sensitive to the smallest infrared radiation.
The TW sensor can be equipped with an M12 Micro quick-disconnect connector. Due to space constraints, a fiber optic sensor may be used. In this case, a special lens accessory is required.
Easy to set up
The output can be easily set using the sensor’s buttons and digital display or via IO-Link.
The TW series temperature sensor can detect high-temperature steel slabs by measuring the intensity of the infrared radiation they emit. The TW2 temperature transmitter can display the actual temperature of the hot slab and provide a corresponding analog signal. The TW7 temperature switch can display the percentage value of the infrared radiation intensity and provide a user-set switching point.
