Application areas

In accordance with ISO 14119, the Category 1 PS series of limit switches is suitable for confirming and monitoring the position of moving parts on machines and of laterally moving or hinged guards, and can be used in all industrial environments.

The PS series of limit switches, with protection ratings up to IP66 and IP67, meets the requirements for use in harsh environments.

Design and operating principle

All PS series limit switches are equipped with positive break NC contacts in accordance with IEC 60947-5-1, and are available in snap-action and slow-action versions. In conjunction with a suitable safety controller, Performance Level PL d can be achieved with a single limit switch. In accordance with ISO 13849-1, Performance Level PL e can be achieved using two limit switches.

Flexible solutions

Switching elements with up to 3 contacts

Switching elements with three contacts ensure redundant disconnection and are supplied with a signalling contact. All switching elements with various contact combinations are equipped with electrically isolated contacts with positive break NC contacts.

Latching function

To latch the switching status, versions with snap action and an optional latching function are available. In these versions, the actuating element must be manually reset.

Modular diversity

The modular design gives all series a consistent range of components, reduces the number of different versions, reduces the amount of work required for storage and increases availability.
